Many realtors (especially startups) find it difficult to market their business to prospective clients. In fact, many of my business associates have asked me the question on my ways of marketing my properties. By the way, I work as an online marketer for a real estate company in Nigeria.
Irrespective of your role within the real estate sector, marketing your property business is one of the things you will have to do. One thing that never change is that property demands will always be high; either by investors that buy to let or by tenants looking to rent.
In that case, what are the best for of marketing strategy to promote a real estate business?
I will not conclude that there is a particular strategy that is the best; but with the combination of different strategies, I am pretty sure you will take your business to the right prospects.
After like a month of researching into the topic of discussion, I was able to come up with the following real estate marketing ideas that could help realtor market their products and services.
1. Partner with other realtors:
Over the years as a real estate business owner, I have discovered that partnership works in the industry.
One of the greatest advantage of partnering in real estate business is that it help your business to easily establish itself within the industry. Not only will you leverage on the other partners’ strength, but also reduce the cost of your marketing.
Remember, you should always go into real estate business partnership for mutually benefiting gains of both parties.

2. Showcase yourself with your website
I still find it difficult to believe many realtors do not have a site of their own. If you are looking to more your property business to the next level and you do not have a website, I will advice you get one as soon as possible.
Why do you need your own site?
Your site is your shop front, a place to showcase your business; therefore, it is always a good idea to have one.
Besides, your own site give you additional advantage of getting you to have direct relationship with your prospects.
3. Take advantage of Search Engine Audience
Promoting your property business to the right audience is key to your success. In order to do that, you need to take advantage of Google and other search engines.
As you may know, google and other search engine will send targeted traffic to you if your site is ranked high on Search Engine Result Pages (SERPs).
To take advantage of these free targeted traffic, you need you will net to optimize your site and all its pages. This is what online marketers call Search Engine Optimization (SEO). you may research more on it.
There are some well know property advertising companies out there. Depending on your region, I am pretty sure they are spread across the internet. Research on them and place your property advert on the platform.
While you try advertising through these platforms, be sure to go for the ones that will give your business the maximum exposure.
There are lots of free and paid property platforms online, just go for the ones that are “fit for purpose”. Because my business focus on the Nigeria market, I always use the Nigeria House and flat to rent platform to promote my services.
5. Leverage on Social Media Platforms
Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and few others have changed the way and manner we market online. With these platforms, you can showcase your products and services. Not only can you build good followers, but also make your brand a trusted brand.
As mentioned earlier, these are not the only ways of promoting your real estate; there are still other strategies you may use. It all depends on your preferences.
